Yesterday was my rest day, unintentionally but when my hubby got home we decided to honor our Friday night date night. We have been ordering Sushi in after the kids go to bed on Friday's for 2 years now.
I could have still done it after a workout but he got home earlier and we wanted to eat sooner and usually when we do we also watch a movie and cuddle and stuff so yeah, I bailed out last night.
Nutrition was excellent yesterday though, for lunch I made myself this:
I really want to try that body rock 30 day challenge. Today I watched the day 1 of it (I think the people who started it on time is on Day 7 today or something so I am a bit behind but meh...) it looks incredibly extreme. Extreme workout moves for 30 sec with only 10 sec breaks to switch up to the next move for 44 minutes long...
I woke up today pretty crippled, my neck is kinked up and full of lots of knots. My husband tried to massage them out but it just wasn't enough and my sciatic nerve was terrible yesterday and today so I booked an appointment with a massage therapist -- just actually quickly updating this then I am off to go to my appointment.
I didn't want to skip working out two days in a row so pain or no pain I worked out. I decided to do some Zumba on my Xbox 360 Kinect. I was sweating up a storm! I always forget how much of a workout that is. My face was drenched, my hair was wet I was out of breath and that was only a medium intensity workout, on top of being in pain. I burned roughly 600calories.
My arms were on fire, my legs burned. It was just what I needed. I HATE working out alone and my work out buddy has been doing some extreme exercise lately so she needed a break, I recruited my husband to work out with me. He is such an awesome supporter. So we did it together.
Quickly whipped up another smoothie, I made the same green smoothie today for breakfast (except without the protein powder, I forgot) so after my family each had a glass there was only 1 glass left for me so I dumped some blueberries in there, and an orange and added my scoop of powder to it and that is my after workout snack.
My in laws are taking us out for dinner tonight so this will be a real test of will power for me since typically in a restaurant situation I tend to throw all the rules out the door. I am focused on eating some fish or chicken with vegetables tonight. They are taking us to Humpty's which will be hard because I love their cheesy skillets which are loaded with fat.
Anyway more on that later. Thanks for all the support in my friends who reads my blog, it really is encouraging to know that I am not just talking to the wind here!
