Yes! Today was a success so far.
Woke up and went to my SFL appointment, came home and prepared a "Frozen Yogurt" recipe from them, drank that for my breakfast (trying to be cautious of those carbs!). It was ok, I think if I made it again i'd have to cut back on the honey in the recipe and add more frozen fruit instead. Too sweet! Bleck.
Since it was a later breakfast I didn't get my mid-morning snack, but that's ok. I was doing a craft with my son in the morning and doing more light house cleaning/organizing instead so I got caught up in that and that resulted in a later breakfast.
I DID MY RIPPED IN 30 DAY 1! Finally!! Wooooot!
It wasn't bad actually. Most of the movements I can already do with ease, but as she says several times week 1 & 2 she goes "slightly" easy on you and focuses more on the proper technique of each movement rather then pushing you harder she wants to make sure you actually performing them properly.
It is the exact same concept as 30 day shred: 3 minutes strength, 2 minutes cardio & 1 minute abs. Some of the movements were a mixture I think of Level 1 of the 30 Day and well combining all the levels. I got through it, I was sweaty and exhausted at the end but that's exactly what I wanted!
From there I made a wrap and had cucumber and cottage cheese on the side, then did some educational stuff with my biggest from his activity book and came upstairs and proceeded to clean and de-junk as much stuff as I could. I even re-arranged my living room.
I'm telling you all this to tell you that I already feel such a difference with adding back in my exercising. It's definitely a love/hate thing.
Ripped in 30 is a 4 week challenge. So week 1 is about 5-6 days long (depending on how many days a week you want to work out) and so is week 2, 3 and 4. Supposedly weeks 3 & 4 are the mother of all work outs and she is already talking about mentally preparing for them because they will suck more then I can imagine.
My nutritionist told me to make another goal when I am 20 days in so that way I don't get to the end of my goal and have nothing else to challenge me. So I am already thinking of other exercises to do. I am really liking the Jillian Michael's series though. I want to get her newest one "Killer Abs" I've seen a preview on youtube and it will SUCK but that's what I want! lol
Anyway it's been a good day so far. Going to make Dijon Chicken and have salad for supper. I'm glad to be back at it again! So I will be blogging every day again too. :)
In light of the fact that I am now back on track I think I will post a picture of my amazing weight loss so far!
Not sure if you can read the dates as the program did something really funky, but the dates read: "Before: 07/30/2012" and "After: 08/30/2012"
Let me know what you think!
~Ciao
